Student Art Scholarships have been foundational to The Woodlands Arts Council's (TWAC) impact and the organization is excited to mark this moment on our journey with plans to award one exceptional student a $20,000 scholarship in 2025 - in addition to the planned $40,000 awarded annually. That means the graduating class of 2025 in Montgomery County will receive $60,000 in Student Art Scholarships from TWAC to pursue their higher education.
The Woodlands Arts Council invites graduating high school seniors to submit a portfolio (3 pieces) of visual or literary works of art in the following categories: 2D, 3D, Short Fiction, Short Nonfiction and Poetry.
Students must be available for the January 10 or 11, 2025 portfolio interviews. Awarded portfolios/students will be featured in The Woodlands Arts Council Student Arts Scholarship Anthology Volume 3 which will be available for purchase at The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. (Purchase past Anthologies here!)
Applicants may submit work in both Visual Arts and Literary Arts. We are only taking the first 40 submitted applicants for interviews.
Please review the guidelines and expectations for each category carefully before submission: https://www.thewoodlandsartscouncil.org/p/programs/studentartscholarship
